Giveaways or sales are allowed if verified. They'll likely get around it by making the majority of Tyranid units classify as infantry (thus not leaving behind lootable corpses).

Hell, this is the 'Nids after all, they could probably get away with even classifying buildings as infantry units (and letting you move them around. Possible race feature?)For trade off maybe the Nids don't have ready access to heavy armor? Or maybe that's an upgrade they can research for higher tier infantry to turn them into vehicle equivalents (hardened carapaces or something like that). For what its worth I don't see Orks caring overly much about looting Nid corpses if the bits were good enough. Sure it's gooey and smells bad but 'ard plate is 'ard plate.Also, speaking of Looting and the Tyranids, they should totally be able to loot dead infantry corpses as 'biomass' which they can then use to make upgrades.
