Fallout 2 Redding Quests

Tips?Dump as many points into pickpocket as you can, and also try to gradually build up science to 125% by level 25-ish. Tagging speech is good at the very beginning and from about half of the game (if you follow the suggested routes).Don't bother with energy weapons, the H&K SMGs,.223 pistol and the Gauss weapons are all tied or better than any energy weapon in the entire game. Also, you can get the.223 pistol VERY early. (I mean VERY early, like near the 10% point of the game, and it can carry up to 90%.) Or go for unarmed, it is simply devastating (although recommended for second play through or later).Although it's harder than in FO1, but try to keep yourself in one area for quests. Start doing the map-spanning ones as you progress in levels and story. There is no time limit on this one though, so you can wander around, it's just not too optimal.Get every last cent (steal a lot from everyone you see) at the beginning and buy Sulik. When you reach Vault City, get Cassidy.

These two should carry you through the whole game. When you learn the ropes in FO2, you can ditch them though: as in FO1, companions are a larger liability for a good player than help. You don't need them even as pack mules since you can get a car very early. Originally posted by:I have done quests in most of the locations besides Modac and Redding. Im level 12 (near level 13) have power armor and g11 E. Should I head for vault 13 and skip modac and redding or head for modac and redding then do vault 13. Uh no, it's more efficient if you went to Modoc first.

I think you also mistook me for saying 'go to NCR straight from Arroyo'. Heheh, you went to NCR first instead of doing stuff in the right order.until. you learn where to find Ed.I have a question though, is your Charisma 1? If it's that, you cannot get companions because it rounds down to zero. Originally posted by:I have done quests in most of the locations besides Modac and Redding.

If it's that, you cannot get companions because it rounds down to zero. Charisma / 2 = Total amount of companions allowed, cannot exceed 5No my charisma is 6 or 7. Most of the map locations are completed. I visted locations/did quests in this order Arroyo, Klamath, Den, Gecko/Vault City, NCR, San Fransisco for the brotherhood mission/Navarro and then New reno. (I had a lot of sex in new reno (without a condom) and got it on with the bishop family:D) and then broken hills. I think I mgith head to modac, redding, and then kill the slavers in the den.

Finally head to vault 13 and do the rest of the missions in san fransisco and navarro.

You need STR 6 (or be a woman willing to sleep with him) to get a job from Lil Jesus. You have to be level 10+ to do the sheriff's quests in Redding. It's actually pretty unusual for there to be requirements to ACCEPT a quest, though.

More often your stats will influence the outcome but not actually prevent you from getting it in the first place. The two quests you've listed are the only ones I can think of, besides the Porn Star thing (which isn't really a quest). So just chew some buffout for Jesus and go back to Redding later. Thanks for the quick reply. Even though I'm already level 10, the Redding sheriff isn't giving me any options to ask for work, like he did when I was a lower level (and told me I was too weak). Is this a glitch or something? Cheeseonmyface: Thanks for the quick reply.

Even though I'm already level 10, the Redding sheriff isn't giving me any options to ask for work, like he did when I was a lower level (and told me I was too weak). Is this a glitch or something? F2 is full of dialog bugs. It wouldn't surprise me if there was a level 10 option but nothing in between. It's also possible that it's messed up because you talked to him too early. I'd suggest coming back at level 11 to see if he says anything else. There's also an extremely comprehensive walkthrough for it url=which details what the various skill and stat requirements are for the various things through the game. It's worth looking at, but just stick to the character development section if you don't want to spoil everything.
