Xcom 2 How To Mod

How

Long War 2 is The Mod for XCOM 2 in other words. That it's free is frankly ridiculous but also brilliant. And it's free because developer Firaxis paid for it, having been so impressed with Long War for XCOM 1.We - not pronounced 'pavlova' FYI - just over a week ago. We talked about how Long War wasn't just for hardcore players; it has a bit of a reputation you see.XCOM 2 came out early last year on PC, then in the autumn on PS4 and Xbox One. It was of 2016's best games. In we said it was 'one of the most demanding - and thrilling - strategy games ever'.

Xcom 2 how to clean mods

No matter what you need console commands for, there are some that are more useful than others. And in this, I'll go over the most useful commands that you have at your disposal, and the variables you can use with them to suit pretty much every need. But I have omitted some commands that will break or severely damage the base functions of the game, just to be on the safe side.

How To Modify Config Xcom 2

How to Access the Console in XCOM 2Before you can actually open the command console, you'll have to enable it in the first place. If you have a non-Steam version of XCOM 2, you'll have to right click your primary xcom2.exe, go to the Properties tab, and paste ' –allowconsole' (Without quotation marks) into the target field box.For Steam versions, right click on XCOM 2 in your games library, open the general properties tab, and then paste ' –allowconsole' (again without quotation marks) in the set launch options box.Once you're in game simply hit the tilde key (`) in-game and the console should show up (if you did it right).

Make sure you're loading into a game first or your commands won't actually do anything.Another thing to keep in mind is the context. Using commands to build things on the Avenger obviously won't work if you're using the command while in a fight. It's just small common sense stuff that you'll want to be aware of. Console Commands List for XCOM 2 Cheat CommandsBefore any of these commands will work, you must enable cheats using the console. To do this, just open the console and enter 'enablecheats' (without the quotation marks). After that, you're all set to 'test things out' - cause you're not actually cheating, right? But if you do want to veer into cheat command territory, here are the console commands for enabling some god-like modes.

Godmode CommandsOutput ProcessPowerUpAll units made invincible, with unlimited ammoTakeNoDamageAll units made invincibleResource CommandsIf it's resources that you want, there's a command for any resource, any character, and any amount. We won't list every single variation here, but the gist of these commands is as follows: Resource CommandsOutput Processgiveresource CorpseAdventTrooper #Gives x number of corpsesgiveresource CorpseAdventMEC #Gives x number of corpsesgiveresource CorpseAdventOfficer #Gives x number of corpsesgiveresource Abilitypoint #Gives x number of ability pointsgiveresource Intel #Gives x amount of Intelgiveresource EleriumCore #Gives x number of elerium CoresThere are far more commands for resources, including corpses and actual resources such as Alien Alloys. Supplies are also considered a standard supply and can be granted using this command. To make these commands suit any of your needs, all you need to do is a little tweaking.

For any resource, the command is 'give resource X #' where X is the variable resource you want added, and # is the value of how many desired. Armor Commands Items/ArmorOutput ProcessLightPlatedArmor #x number of Spider suit'sMediumPlatedArmor #x number of Predator armorHeavyPlatedArmor #x number of E.X.O. Suit'sBe aware that some armors will require corresponding research in order to function properly.

Xcom 2 How To Enable Mods

Luckily, there's a console command that will instantly grant you the research you need to use any armor. 'GiveTech x' is the research command, where X stands for whichever tech you want instantly researched.Keep in mind that you will not get voice overs or cut scenes involving research if you do this. Furthermore, there are reports of the main campaign becoming bugged if you force research on certain requirements (like forcing the Advent officer's autopsy). Item CommandsIf it's items that you need, here are the console commands you can use to grant yourself any number of them: Items/ArmorOutput ProcessAddItem BattleScanner #x number of BattleScannersAddItem Mind Shield #x number of Mind ShieldsAddItem HazmatVest #x number of Hazmat VestsAddItem Stasis Vest #x number of Stasis Vests.Any item usable by XCOM Soldiers can be used as a variable for this command. Simply type 'AddItem X #', where X is the variable for the item you wish to be given, and # is the amount of that item. Weapon CommandsOf course, any console-commanded army will be incomplete without an abundance of high-octane weapons to blast their way through enemies.

Here are the console codes for all the weapons mods you could need: Weapon ModsOutput ProcessReloadUpgrade #Gives X amount of Auto LoadersAimUpgrade #Gives X amount of ScopesClipSizeUpgrade #Gives X amount of Extended MagsCritUpgrade #Gives X amount of Laser SightsFreeKillUpgrade #Gives X amount of RepeatersFreeFireUpgrade #Gives X amount of Hair TriggersMissDamageUpgrade #Gives X amount of StocksFor weapon mods the quality of the mod can be changed easily. You'll just need to add an extra parameter to your console command. For example:. CritUpgradebsc # For Basic Laser Sights. CritUpgradeadv # For Advanced Laser Sights. CritUpgradesup # For Superior Laser SightsSoldier Class/Scientist and Engineer Commands Soldier ClassOutput ProcessMakeSoldierAClass 'X' SpecialistMakes named soldier named classTo use this command, you need to replace the X with a soldier's name, and the ClassName indicator with the name of an actual class. Just keep in mind that the name of the soldier must be in quotations for this console command to work.It should look something like this:MakeSoldierAClass 'John Smith' SpecialistThis will make your soldier, John Smith, a Specialist.

You can replace the 'Specialist' with any class in the game - Ranger, Sharpshooter, Grenadier, etc. and your solider will become that class.Note: Using this console command will demote any soldier to a squadie and strip them of all their ranks.

So if you decide that your Colonel needs to change classes, you need to be prepared for that high-ranking soldier to go back to being a squadie. Scientist and Engineer Commands Add Scientist/EngineerOutput ProcessGiveScientist #Gives 1 scientistGiveEngineer #Gives 1 engineerScientists and Engineers can only be granted 1 at a time. The number value actually determines their aptitude and skill value.

I am unaware of any ceiling on a skill value - nor any adverse side effects for massive values - so please use at your own risk. Miscellaneous CommandsLast but not least, here's a list of some interesting commands to play around with during your game. Input ProcessOutput ProcessSkipAISkips AI turnsToggleUnlimitedActionsAllows for unlimited actions.
